Default Indian and buffalo

This is another project that I had put away for awhile. I always have a problem getting the angle on the face right. This carving is from a book by Bob Lundy 'scenery in wood' I finished it with turp and burnt umber and then dark paste wax. I did want to do more like add white to the feathers etc. .If only I could paint like TN. I was a nice project and the book rairly easy to follow. As always comments welcome.

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

Feb,
I would have recognized that right off as coming from the Bob Lundy book. That guy could really carve and you have did him proud in the use of his pattern. I might add, I don't talk much on here but read most all posts, I can see you have sure made progress in the learning curve. You are turning out some great carvings, for sure keep up the good work- - Earl
