Default Imp

I took this one up the mountain to the neighbors... the neighbors wife looked at with horror on her face and asked, "What is it?" I said, they are put on top of buildings and churches that at night they come alive and fly around protecting the building. Then I added, "I am going to make a life size one and put it on top of my house!" She gasped and her husband laughed his head off. This is a Shawn Cipa pattern. It was a good fun project...not sure if I will make a life size one and plaster on top of house...might scare those drug addicts down at the bus stop, better yet might carry them off. smiles Di

That looks like a lot of work represented there, but a GREAT carving! I'm guessing it's 10 to 14 inches tall?

Too bad you didn't have a picture of her face when she saw it.
I started to say it was a beautiful carving but that word doesn't seem to fit an imp.

Can you imagine a slightly bigger one for your roof with red LED eyes that flash! You would be able to her the bus stop crowd yell all the way here on the mainland!!!

Excellent! The story is good too.
Even a small one should protect the house after the reaction you got from your neighbor!
Enjoyed seeing it.
