Default I'm throwing out a challenge

The attached pic is one I took yesterday of a migrant farm hand. I would love to see some of you talented carvers carve a likeness of this fella. I don't want it, I don't even know his name, I just think he is a remarkable human study and would make a great subject for a carving. I may be way off base here, that being the case, I'll let the powers that be, decide.
Cliff

Nice photo and a nice character. When I first saw it in the thumbnail I thought he had a Kipi on. If I did it I think I would do it that way.

Hummmmm?? If he had a red cap on,he would make a prefect Santa and I dont do many santas. He has alot of strong character about himself, looks like a good man.I can see why you took the pict of him.

Besides if I tried,I might come up with a bear.

Neat post! Forrest

The first thing that strikes me about the gentleman is how the outer edges of his grey/white beard, mustache, hair, and eyebrows are speckled and/or are separated by his old original black color. That would make the staining/paintings job a sweet challenge.

Andy, soirry, no profile, I never even thought about it at the time. I was so impressed with his expression and white hair I just had to ask if he minded me taking a pic. He was only on loan here to our farm for the one job, altho many of his buddies are here a couple times a week. I may never see him again. I do hope some of you take a crack at carving him.

Cliff, wonderful photo and your right he would make a good subject for a carving.
What is a 'Kipi'? I thought at first he had a Civil War type hat on.

Kathy, I think that's what Lynn thought it was as well, I've never even heard of a Kipi before.
