Hey carving buddies, Thought i forgot about you didn't you. Well had to set aside the tools for a while and take care of family issues. But i got out the tools, knocked off the rust, i know i should have treated them before i put them away, and got down to work. I'm still churning out my santa ornaments but i found a new pattern to add to my Christmas collection. It needs to be painted, wife's not set up yet, so the pic is a little washed so i hope you can see the detail. Be honest, what do ya think? Michael Gray

I think it is fantastically inspirational! I love the perplexed look on his face! He really makes me want to carve one! Good job! I have always wanted to make one...are they feasable for a beginner? Thank you for sharing!

| They are Keoma. I based the carving on what i learned from Gene Messer in the flat plane style. The hardest part is pointing the tip, i did it by hand but it could be done easily enough with a bandsaw. Michael Gray
