Default Ideas for Lindyhop / Jitterbug dancers

Hi All,

I was recently looking through "Woodcarving in the Scandinavian Style" by Harley Refsal, and was interested by the carving of a couple 'Finger Hooking' shown on page 27 (for those of you who have it).

This looked to me a little like a couple doing the Jitterbug or jive, and started me thinking about doing such a carving.

I wondered if anyone had already done anything similar, or if there were any patterns available.

I've attached a couple of my research photos to give you an idea of what I am hoping to achieve.

Any comments or ideas are most welcome!

This would be quite an ambitious project for me!

Pete

I reckon your are right.

The first photo looks the most likely.

I'm not sure whether they should be carved out of a single piece (a neat trick) or as two separate pieces.

A most entertaining project. Very doable,I think photo three would make an excellent caricature subject. with permission I would like to steal your idea for a future project. Arnie

Be my guest Arnie - it would be nice if you could share any plans, and I'd love to see the results.

These photos are the result of a google image search for 'lindy hop'
