Default Horse on arrowhead

Hi all, I've been having a brain freeze on making up my on patterns so my last few have been from books. This horse on arrowhead is a design by Dean Troutman, It is in WCI 2006 #36. It was 16x 20 I changed it to 9x12. I stained with burnt umber mixed with oderless turp then a coat of feed & wax. It was fairly easy and relaxing project. Comment most welcome.

Thanks

Feb

Hi Feb,

I know all about brain freezes. This one is beautiful and it gets the knives and gouges going until your next idea comnes along.

Hi Feb, know what you mean on the brain freeze. Looks like a fine job on the horse. I'd really like to see a more straight on shot of it though.

Very nicely done, Feb. Keep up the good work and that brain freeze will soon thaw.

Feb,
What a nice work of art. I really like this piece wheter it originated with you or not it is very nicely done. If this is what you can do with a brain freeze I think I'll start eating more Ice Cream LOL.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

That doesn't look bad at all. Doesn't really matter where the idea comes from as long as you do the best you can. I can really relate to the "brain freeze", I think that everyone can at one point or another in their carving venture.
