Default Honey Bears finished~

Theses young honey bears are deeper carved in a chunk of pine saw mill cut off,its 20 X 26 inches and round where I carved and painted.I used acrylic paints like I do on all of my painted carvings.

Theres alot of I wish I hadnt and wish I had's about this carving but this is my 3rd deeper carving Ive done with larger chisels and mallet. I so enjoyed learning as I went with the chisel what each one would be able to cut and how.

Painting was a little tougher on this round front where Id carved the bears,it was a little hard trying to keep the painting in its proper prospective while a area I wanted to be straight wasnt flat, I was painting on a circle.

I enjoyed carving theses little bears. The young boy bear on top,has a really surprised lookon his face.like, You told me Becky{his sister on the bottem log} this was going to be easy, OHhhhhhh YEA!! Just climb up to the hole in the stump and get us some nice and sweet honey!!

BUTttttttttttt You forgot to tell me,there was them dang bees there also! DUHH Becky!!

I know the top bear had to be a boy bear?? Cause Im sure his sister put him up to it in the 1st place,saying........I bet you cant climb that olde tree Jr and I surely know you couldnt get us some of that sweet honey,Jr.

OHhhhhhhhh Yea I will show you! Becky~

I hope you have enjoyed viewing this carving in work in progress and now its final stag of being painted. I will apply a finish on it tonight which will bend the colors even more.

I appreciate your comments or thoughts and thank you for them. Forrest Tn~

P.S Im going to load some picts on Carvers Galleries, cant unload these big of picts here,ck them out if you have time, I hate missing alot of details that cant be shown here. Thks'

Forrest,
I've just gone over your other post - the bears were coming out very nicely. Well, here you are, done. Great carving - the little one is sooo cute - and an excellent paint job.
