| | "Honey Bears" Id carved a much larger set of my honey bears last fall which was about 3 ft tall from a large slab of saw mill pine cut off. A couple of weeks ago while attending a flea mkt,I'd saw this cypress knee sitting on a mans table. Course I bought it for $ 1.00 Id seen alot of cypress knees down in Ms. and La. but never have carved one.
It didnt take but one cut into this wood I found it was like a sponge course later I also found holes would just pop up. On the left side under the boy bear in the tree there was several holes there plus down at the bottem. I could have patched the holes but it was easy to make something out of them.
So I carved and made a water fall coming from one of the holes and showering down into another hole.
These honey bears are 8 X 15 inches and painted with acrylic.
Thanks for viewing them plus your comments or thoughts are always welcome. Forrest

| | Re: "Honey Bears" Thank you Bart! The only thing I hate about carving alot of details in a carving like the honey bears is painting it,which takes some time with the wood being so raw which eats up alot of paint. Im glad you enjoyed them thoug. Thks again,Forrest
