Default Hippy shelf elf

Had a few spare hours in the shop last week so carved this hippy out of a Heinecke basswood block 2" x 2" x 6". He has a rinestone nose pin and a deer antler top on the end of his cap. I've had termendous problems with him smoking grass when I'm not watching him. My grand daughter promised to send him for rehab when she gets him home. LOL!

Yep, we old hippies don't die, we just sorta blend in with the rest of you a little at a time.... Hmmm Is that Ziggy Marley in the background there? "If you don't like my smoke then don't come around, cause I'm gonna burn one down.." Heh!

The only time I've ever smoked grass, was when I accidently set fire to the back yard.

Dull Knife,

You probably didn't inhale either, eh?

Wayyyy cooool & far out,groovy elf dude. I like how you did the hat.Thanks for postin'...I need to carve a few of these myself as soon as I can work myself over to the band saw,lol;

...ya know,this reminds of a cat on YouTube. I am going to post a video below,
not to make fun of...even though I find him funny...but he has an interesting beard and facial features and "country boy logic" as this self pro-claimed hippy says in his videos,lol.

Inadv, thanks for the words but don't know who "Ziggy Marley" is. Maybe I need to smoke some grass and inhale. Never tried it but always open to new experiences.
And, thanks all y'all for the nice comments. The photo was really poor quality because of the lighting I used in making it.
Hey Allen, Loved the video. Alway enjoy a person who can talk for so long and never say anything! I do think that guy should have a rinestone nose piece to set off his character.

Upcarver,

Bob Marley's son. A Reggae Rastafarian to the core. Also wrote "Get off the phone and drive" after a close call with an SUV while riding his bicycle. I don't think he has a rhinestone nose piece though. He sorta comes and goes kind of like Dweezel Zappa...
