| | Hillbilly Caricatures Hi Everyone, My dog club is having a big event coming up with a Hillbilly theme, I usually donate a carving to the silent auction and thought it would be good to have a couple dogs around a Hillbilly. Anyone have some Hillbilly patterns for me to review and possibly use? You could email them to me privately at jonathan@bastian-net.com Thanks!

| | Re: Hillbilly Caricatures Hey there Mike-in-VW, why not post them here for a couple of days then delete them after he has had a chance to copy them.
Just a thought .

| | Re: Hillbilly Charachters J B, I believe a 3x3 x10 block will do any of them. Thanks to Rick at Little Shavers I just finished carving the Hillbilly with a jug a few weeks ago and it's posted on the carvers gallerie here.He has a roughout of it in his catalog.
I'm adding a hound dog and it will be carrying a cole oil lantern in it's teeth like it's showing the hillbilly the way home or maybe there taking a late night trip to the still,Lol.Mike

| | Re: Hillbilly Charachters Hey Mike, I got the Hillbilly with jug finished this evening. Thanks for all your help with the pattern and pictures.
I scaled him down to about eight inches and wish I would have kept him 10 or 11, I like the big ole toenails and the smaller size my fingers just couldn't pull it off. I might make a bigger one for the Silent Auction. He was a trick to carve around that whiskey jug.
