Default I Was At Hickory Too!!!

Just thought I would share some of my excitement from getting a few ribbons at Hickory also. These are from the Novice category, Only the second show I've entered since I started carving last September. Ended up with 4 1st Places, 4 2nd Places and 1 3rd Place plus a 2nd Best of Novice ribbon. Right proud of myself, even if I do have to say so. The 2 Santa Ornaments got a 1st and 2nd also but I did not get a photo of them with the ribbons.

Thanks for looking

Chuck

Hate 'we' missed you. I was there also and I did notice your carvings.

BTW - I was the "announcer" during the awards, just so you can put a name with a face.

Mitchell, I remember you well. You gave me the prize money for the 2nd Best Of Novice and also the "Burnmaster" wood burner which I won as a Door Prize.
Really neat-I was going to buy one this week.

Chuck

Jeez Chuck you should have introduced yourself, got to see your carvings as well its a shame to have missed you. I was the guy who won the Chip Carved tool box in the raffle. Maybe we can run into each other in Charlotte in February!!

Chuck, last year I too was a "Novice" and won 2st best of show also plus 24 ribbons out of 27 carvings at the Hickory show 08' The main thing isnt how many ribbons that you might think I try to win or how many?? Its the part of being in the company and fellowship of all the carvers there that I love more.

You did good Chuck!!!

Nice job Chuck, you did a fine job and your carvings spoke for themselves. I too just finished my first show. It was a great experience and had a lot of fun. Congrats!
