Default Hickory Show 2011

I've been meaning to ask about this show for awhile and keep forgetting. How did the judging go for the people on the forum? Was it a good show this year, etc.?Did anyone take any pictures of the carvings?

Does this mean that no one on the forum went to or heard about the outcome of the show?

I went but didn't take a camera. I entered 11 pieces and took home 9 ribbons, 4 first, 3 seconds, 1 third and 1 honorable mention. This was my first time at the Hickory show, I understand it was down somewhat. Mitch was there, I have been surprised and dismayed about no mention of the show on this board.

Thanks for the replies.I was beginning to think that they cancelled the show because of a lack of talk about the show.

Lance,
I was there but did not take any pictures. There weren't as many there from the message board as has been in the past. It was a good show for me. I had a booth and sold a good many carvings.

i waz there as well. took idk how many pcs round 20 i guess. the carving entrys were down a bit from last year to this year. the show had 55 carvers down from 75 in 2010. i guess with several other events the same weekend and a change in the show date from yrs past, ppl chose to go else where. but it was a great time had by most. i enjoyed seeing old friends and making some new ones. i even got me a Scott Boy" from Arnold and won a pair of wooden baby shoes which my baby daughter is trying to wear, but the splinters are horriable in her feet. hope to see everyone in charlotte in Feb
