Default Help with Driftwood

I have a piece of driftwood that will be used indoors when completed. After it dries and has been cleaned, what should I use to seal the wood not sure what to use? On the final finish I plan on useing a clear satin, any suggestions.

I use clear Cabot sanding sealer...it not only seals but reinforces any deteriorating fibers. This stuff will soak into driftwood so it may take several treatments. Minwax or Ace would probably work as well. Use the oil based, not the water based.

Melted beeswax with walnut or veggie oils makes a nice finish for inside carvings. Smells good too!
