Default help with book

Not sure if this is the right place but here it goes.

I was thinking on buying a book to help me learn how to carve song birds with hand tools. I have come down to two choices.

Carving Award-winning Songbirds: An Encyclopedia of Carving, Sculpting and Painting Techniques by lori corbett

this one seems like a good bet but the comments on amazon say its mostly about power carving?

My other choice is

Songbird Carving by rosalyn daisey

This one also seems like a good choice but is a little more expensive.

I was wondering if any of you have either one or both and can recommend which one is better for hand carving or if it even makes a big enough difference.

Thank you for your time and input.

I am a poor one to respond as I do not carve birds and have not seen either book. I do not power carve but most projects I have seen using power can also be done with hand tools.
Perhaps your local library can get you a copy of each book so you can compare and decide that way.
