Default Hello, I'm New

8) I'm new to this site, so here goes! Been carving for 27 years. I like realistic human, but will try my hand at most any thing I find interesting. Even made a few pieces of funiture, or I think you can call em that. I'm interested in meeting all of you, and want to hear from everybody. Used to be a member of NCM, anyone remember that mag?

Hi there Mountain_Man,
Nice to have you aboard. Sounds like you bring a whole lifetime of experience with you I am sure you will be passing on some good advice. I am scheduled for a course with Jeff Phares in June carving Realistic Human. I have all of his books and it will be my first attempt to carve a complete head I am really looking forward to it. If you have any pictures of your work we would all love to see them. (We love pictures) You can post them on www.picturetrail.com the log in is (carvers-r-us) and the password is (carve) if you are interested. Again glad to have you with us

Thanks everyone, and thanks Colin for the tip on the web site. I will try to post a picture in a few days. I have never taken one of Jeff's classes, but have most of his books. Have taken classes with Fred Carrington, Willard Stone, and his son Jason Stone. Have not had time to take many since then, really miss going to War Eagle Seminar.

??? ??? : Hay 'I'm New', are you talking about the National Carving Museum at Monument, Colo.????? We're just down the road and around the corner from where it use to be. (Monument, I mean) So welcome and come again soon. I haven't been carving nearly as you, but I have just as much fun-----but, then don't we all. You make furniture and I make bows (like bows and arrows)----so we both have extra hobbies hanging 'round. See you here again soon. charlie

Mountain Man,
You should really enjoy this site. Lots of good folks. With a handle like that, are you a buckskinner?

Welcome Mountain Man! It's good to have you with us! I have been carving a little over two years and love carving realistic people also. Well, I guess realistic anything but especially people. If you want to check out mine go to http://www.photo.epson.com where it says Visit Friends Albums type in callsr@csonline.net You shouldn't need a password but if you do it's Callynne, with a capital C, the site is case sensitive.
We will all be eagerly awaiting pictures of your work, like it's been mentioned before, we love pictures!! Callynne
