Default Hello From Dale O

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to let you all know I am still lurking around. The new shop is just a nightmare, mainly due to poor management. That's ok because this is what has made me decide to build a shop here on the property. Hopefully construction will start late summer. This was actually going to be done last year but there was issues about zoning and permits. This has all been worked out and we are just shopping for the best rate on an improvement loan. Lately I have also got back into tree cutting and firewood selling. This time around I'm going to invest in a saw mill and give milling my own lumber a shot. Carving sales have been poor here. This weekend is one of the big festivals in Cedarburg called Strawberry Fest. A friend of mine has rented tent space on the main street and sales are few at best.

On another note, remember awhile back when Hi Ho Sliver had a bad experiance with the USPS? Well I have been going through a bad time with them as well. I sent out a package a couple of months ago and it is nowhere to be found. All they have to say about is they are aware of the situation and I should be hearing something back from them shortly. This has been going on for weeks now. I give up, I'll stick with UPS.

I hope everyone is well.
Dale

Hi Dale! Sorry to hear about your episode with the post office...another typical govt foul up....also sorry to hear about the poor sales...heh heh, especially since some of my stuff that isn't selling there ha ha! Seriously, a shop on your place will be very convenient in all aspects but one...they know where you live and business hours don't mean much to some people :, but I am sure you will get everything worked out, I had really thought seriously about a mill myself...you get choice wood for your use and get to sell some...and you can get paid to cut trees up and remove them and you get the wood! Can't beat that! Best of luck Dale...go get 'em!
