Default He needed a hat!

I should have given this little dude a hat! Don't know what type though ... floppy wizards hat with a little owl sitting on the brim or maybe a ten gallon rlloed brim cowboy hat or maybe ....

Looks like a Mountian man with the feathers. No injun' will lift his hair.

Besides that, That is a great looking stick! Think he looks fine without a hat.
Like the braid in back!

I think a hat would only detract from the detail of the hair...

Excellent job!!

I'm loving all your canes. Hmm, I seem to be the only one who agrees that a floppy Gandalf hat would look really cool.... Only a Gandalf hat with a feather in it.

Thanks for the feed back guys! I'm just so undecided that he will probably go without a hat for now ... but the idea of a Stan Laurel hat is just too much not to consider. I think the next one will definitely have a Gandalf hat with feathers! Best to start with a plan, isn't it!

I like the idea of the Mountain Man. I was so concentrating on the thought of the wizard that I never saw the American Indian/Mountain Man idea ... maybe I'll add a little sheep wool to my leather twist area to secure him as such!

He needs a horned Viking helmet! Okay....so they didn't actually use horns, but Hollywood has everyone convinced, so who am I to argue! A iron domed shape helmet, with perhaps a nose piece. He's an older warrior, so put a dint in his helmet! He even looks like he's been at sea too long!

I too really like the mountain man look! That leather and those feathers really bring home that impression to me.... maybe Jerimiah Johnson. I know that I'd been exploring the Far West if I'd been born during the mountain man era and under that circumstance I can only pray that I was bald!

Another really beautiful piece and I vote for no hat.

I would stick to the mountain man theme since you already added feathers to his beard/hair. Very nice though.
