Red face What I have been carving....

Well, besides trying really hard to finish the ornaments for the exchange... I have been doing the following:

This first picture is the third of three coaster sets I sold at the various bazaars I did the last month. I actually did not get pics of the first two sets which upsets me.

The second picture is a sunflower design I found at NYCarver's website and sat down with scrap basswood and made. Painted it how I thought it might look.... going to put double sided magnet tape on it for the fridge.

The third picture is my HORRIBLY thought out Santa ornament. I started at the top and did not have the wood or the skills to put eyes and nose with it. So I thought his hat would be over his eyes and nose. Upon further review, he has a lot of head up in that LITTLE pointy hat. Lesson learned... but this is only my fourth carved piece. Need to get down to Paul's (or somewhere) and get some lessons.

The last picture was the day we put up the tree at our place. The ornaments were a couple I received from the exchange. Strange place for them, but I get lots of compliments.

Sean - KC

Hey Sean, the Santa isn't the best of the pieces you've shown, but it isn't "horrible" either!! Please sign and date it, if it's your fourth carving you're going to be very pleased where you are with your carving a year from now.

The other pieces show your talent, you just need time, practice and patience!

Hmmmmm, nice picture of you 'decorated'....but are you sure they weren't compliments but 'comments' you were receiving?? Sarcastic Deborah

Ok..no more eggnog for you.. LOL

I love the coasters! Santa looks like he's from the north... tucked up nice and warm in his hat.

Yes.. I second dating and numbering your carvings. Its fun to look back and see how far you've come now and then.
