Hey there! It's good to see everyone checking in. I kind of needed a post mortem nudge.
I've been doing more carving lately than I've done for quite awhile. After being couped up during the 06/07 ice storms, I got myself jump started at the wood carvers retreat.
Spring landed last week and I found myself standing in a drizzling rain carving on a cottonwood log and having the time of my life. Thank God this winter is gone.
I went bark scout'n over the weekend and hit the mother lode so I'll be posting for that shortly. I also found a black walnut log and hauled that home. I think it will make a gorgeous sculpture (someday)
about the super glue repair. I've become a pro at making those. Infact my colleagues now call me Dr. Troll

I am here also Colin. Been working too much overtime. Bought a new Automach and a set of Flexcut power blades. Got the bug for the reciprocating carver when I was at the Open House and tried yours out. I have a Catalpa tree I am cutting down and see a lot of wood to carve! I can see it now, "Spirit faces" everywhere you look in my yard!

Maybe...can it be....we're.......nerds? No. Couldn't be. I'd bet my pocket protector on it!
