Cool I Hated Dentist!!

i used to just hate dentist i mean really would get almost physically ill if i would have to go,but finally had two teeth that we're just killing me and summoned up the courage to go,he was super nice and didn't hurt me any!!
and i decided to inquire as to old dental tools to make some micro tools out of,and he asked what for, come to find out the doc is a woodcarver as well!!
he left and came back with a handful of tools then we went to his office to check out his carvings, next time i brought some of mine over.heck i look forward to going now!! you just never know whose making chips.

Be careful DADDIO!! Dentists have a way of sneaking up on you.

I've yet to ask my dentist about tools but now that I've purchased a RAM45 I need bits and will.

Easy now; my Father was a dentist and he wasn't too bad a guy. Except for the time he ran the water pick down my pants leg and told everyone I had peed myself in the chair. Ha, Ha, Really funny Dad.
You all may not know this; but at least in the old days, dentists had to learn a bit of carving in plaster, so they could make dentures and such. There have also been a few notable dentist carvers around over the years; their names escape me now.
My father was a big fan of my early carvings, but is sadly no longer with us. He liked to doodle "Dick Tracy" type caricatures and remains a strong influence in how I carve my caricatures, usually with a prononced broken nose. I did a sailor for one of my sisters a while back and she picked up on it right away; even got a bit sniffely, so I guess that one worked.
So; anyway, do not be afraid of your dentist, and make sure you get your teeth sharpened twice a year.
Jim

Daddio,
Make the ultimate sacrifice. Have the dentist pull all yer teeth and you won't ever have to see him again . I'm getting closer all the time as I feel the same way.

Speaking of dentists I saw mine today... and she gives all her old picks to a relative who also woodcarves. I just can't make out!

Daddioooo I have a dentist appt at 2pm today, I have to drive 45mins into the higher mtns of NC. The only good thing about this is............

I planned the 2pm appt in order to have lunch with my wife before going to the dentist!! She works up there in NC. SOoooooooo no matter how bad it might be at the dentist, least I had a delightfull lunch with the Mrs.

I'll have to check with my dentist tomorrow...I'm in the same boat as Daddio...

I've got a resistance to novicane...so most dental visits are dreadful for me!
