| | Re: Happy Large Woodspirit It's difficult to say how long it took me to carve him as I had two other projects going at the same time. If I was to estimate, I would say 4 hours to rough him out, about three hours to do his eyes, nose and chubby cheeks. It probably took me two hours to figure out how to do his big teeth and tongue, and let's say another hour to finish his mustache and beard. So in total, approx. 11 hours (including oiling him and burning his eyes in)....and all with a mallet and gouges. Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Ho - other's I have sent this photo too said that I should put the mountain man carving on the floor in his mouth as they said he did look like he was hungry looking.
