Default Hand Carved Weed Pot

Finally found time to finish my weed pot scene.

The weed pot is carved out of piece of black locust that was destined for the firewood pile.

The day lilly & chipmunk was carved from basswood and painted with water colors.

Thanks for looking.

Brian, That's a very nice scene. A great combination of subjects, wood, carving, and finishes. A very visually clean carving. I guess that's why I really like it. Thanks for sharing. Tom H

Thanks for the nice compliments.

It was a fun project, now I have to find a weed to carve, the day lilly just kind of happened as they were in bloom.

Maybe a bull thistle with a canary on it eating the seeds Smile.

Whew! I read the title of this post and couldn't believe my eyes! The words Pot and Weed in the same sentence! Almost as provacative as Woodie's "buff" the other day!.....Very nice!

Wow, very nicely done, Brian! I love the little chipmunk. It all looks so real. Excellent job on the painting, too.
