Perhaps some carver with a chemical engineering background can help out with this question. There is a product out there for stabilizing green wood called Polyethylene Glycol. It's been around for years. I noticed however that regular radiator coolant/antifreeze is 95% Ethylene Glycol. So the question is whether that stuff could also stabilize wood as well? I haven't tried it yet, but would like to know if the chemical difference is an issue. Merryl Bustin
