Default Gow 2009

Gathering of Woodcarvers (GOW) 2009 occurs from Sept. 29 thru Oct 3rd. GOW is held in Sandwich Ill (about 1 hour west of Chicago). This is a super carvers round up, with great instructors and participants. Check it out at:
GOW - Gathering of Woodcarvers 2009

One of the activities is the Friendship Cane(s) assembly and raffle. Last year we were able to assemble three canes, with the raffle monies going to help cover the costs of the GOW. These are the cane segments that I will bring. These are quite large for me to do, and always present more of a challenge.

Those are some large carvings for you, Tom. Did you save the chips to do your regular carvings out of?

Have a great time at GOW and take some pictures to share with those of us who can't make it.

Looking good Tom , maybe there are some 5 minutes Carvings out there to be had. Could you open your knife blade and take a picture and how long is the blade.

Thanks
