I'm interested in making some carving tools. Does anyone know where I can specifications (say, reference drawings or even decent pictures) of the standard sweeps that are used in gouges? I know there are a couple of schemes, I'd appreciate pointers on either. Thanks. |

Hey, I'd like to know that too. But it sometimes seems that each manufacturer has its own specs. Anyone got an idea?

There are many different reference sources... I would suggest a couple of web sites: www.henrytaylortools.co.uk www.pfeiltools.ch www.ramelson.com (requires Adobe reader). You can search others, and catalogs generally have good descriptions also. Good luck. Â*---edited to correct Pfeil site. |
