Default Gouge Profiles
I'm interested in making some carving tools. Does anyone know where I can specifications (say, reference drawings or even decent pictures) of the standard sweeps that are used in gouges? I know there are a couple of schemes, I'd appreciate pointers on either.

Hey, I'd like to know that too. But it sometimes seems that each manufacturer has its own specs. Anyone got an idea?

There are many different reference sources...

I would suggest a couple of web sites:

www.henrytaylortools.co.uk

www.pfeiltools.ch

www.ramelson.com (requires Adobe reader).

You can search others, and catalogs generally have good descriptions also.
