| | Gone till July Well, tomorrow morning I leave with our scout troop for Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.....load the ol' school bus up tonight and head out first thing in the AM. 8 scouts and 4 leaders. We'll visit the badlands SD, Mt Rushmore, a couple air force bases, Crazy Horse Memorial (now THERE'S a piece of carving!) Maybe even stop at the National Carving Museum in Custer....Air Force Academy, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, 12 days backpacking at Philmont (southern Rocky Mtns) and then on to Carlsbad Caverns. Hope to be back on July 2nd, if all goes well. If anyone is trying to contact me, I am not ignoring you, I'm just GONE!!!

| | Re: Gone till July I don't know about the Scouts but you will love the carving museum im Custer SD. Visited Crazy Horse monument in 91 ans they just has finished the outline if the head. What I like is no government monies to sculped Crazy Horse Monument. Have a safe and enjoyable trip. |
