Default Glasses Holders

My wife just got some new contacts but to see up close she still needs her little glasses but she is always leaving them at work or home when she is at work. Id carved a wolf eye glasses holder and just carved this little teddy bear.

Theses are easy to carve and attact the ring and a pin on the back.

Just something quick and usefull, plus if you sell some of you carvings, theses will sell. Ive not seen them yet any where.

The little teddy bear is 1 3/8 X 2 inches,painted with acrylics.

yours thoughts or comments are always welcome. Thks' Forrest

My wife and myself were at Wal-Mart last night, and in the optical area at the front of the store was a display stand, it had eye glass holders, that were lawyers, doctors, plumbers, pretty neat idea and looked really easy to carve, you could scrollsaw a pattern and then carve it, or carve it completely....the nose on the carving held the specs.....just another idea....Dennis

Yea Dennis Ive seen them too at Walmart but thoses type of glasses holders, you would have to leave that stand sitting somewhere, where as ones like this, you just slide your glasses in the ring and when you needed them, they are there.

Thanks for your thoughts and good comments plus the information on the glasses stands.

Its so scary that you came up with this today. I just started a bumble bee idea like this for myself. I have to change back and forth between sunglasses and my glasses. And am replacing another holder I had.

My mother crocheted me a flower with the stem as a loop and it finally fell apart after four years. It was so handy to have pinned to my shirt or coat.

Thanks for showing.. as soon as I get mine done I'll show mine too.

What did you use for a backing? I used to have a pin where the bar comes across to snap in..but it would be horrible for sweaters by pulling the knit apart from the glasses swinging. I was looking for something like the pin type they use for hats with backing inside the shirt. I'm not sure until I try it I guess.

Thanks again Forrest.. he's a cutie!! You have a lucky wife! Be ready for more orders on where ever she goes with her lil bear.

M.
