Default a Gift

Sludgeguy,Doug sent me one of his very realistic mice he carves.I knew when I read the label on the box who it was from what was inside it.

My wife ask me,whats that? I told her,think its carving from one of the guys on board here as I handed it to her to open! She being raises in the mtns here,she didnt jump too high but took her time taken the little mouse out of the box.lol

She finally did and said,Gosh,hes so real looking! I told her about Dougs carvings on board here.

Here in this art room,alot of selves are bare now after my 3 children and 4 grandbabies was here. I gave them carvings which lined all the selves here in my art room and other items Id saved for years for them. Connie liked the little mouse ,put him near the cat on the china cabinet she told me.

Ive had a few members mail me some carvings and I thank you so much! Doug this cute mouse was a big hit to say the least!! Thank you so much!! I had carved a shelf cat some time back and now he got a friend as you can see.

Thanks again Doug!!

Forrest

Right on Doug, great gift. I don't know Forrest that mouse may not be so safe if the CAT wakes up. Nice set-up.

That mouse looks like he's found a home. Hope he don't attract the real ones. Thanks for posting him.

Alan you are right! If the old cat wakes but too the little mouse might just pop inside the box drawers hes sitting on. I found that neat handmade standing box and it was so dirty. It was made by a hobo,I collect Hobo art work. I cleaned it up repaired a few things and refinished it.
I thank you my friend for your thoughts here,I think Doug did a nice job as always on this mouse.

Back to painting on a little carving I go,with no mice nipping at my toes.

Forrest

Joe we've never had any mice in our home,theres no way in this house for a mouse. I like this little mouse,you know for being such little things? They can make people jump big time!! Mice in a home will dart in and out where he came in but a rat,wont,he will stay in a house!{A Fact}
Thanks Joe for your good input here!

That mouse is the cat's MEOW! I do like the that chest too. Do you have a few more pics of your hobo collection. Working around old railroad bridges I've have spotted some of the old signs and intials they left, makes you wonder where they all went.

Bill even hobos are dieing out now days.The standing chest is all I have inside our home,theres so many other things we collect,Blue Ridge China,it was made here in the mtns. All my hobo stuff is packed in plastic tubs stored in my building behind our house. If and when I get some time,I'll get a few pieces and take some pictures of them.

Thanks Bill for taken your time to view Dougs mouse and your neat input here.
