Genesee Valley Woodcarvers Show

Gents, here are some pictures from this past weekends show here in Rochester. The show was held at the Rochester Museum and Science center where there were quite a number of carvings present of all different varieties. Club members demonstrated bird carving and painting, and the carving of fishing lures.

As part of the show a special category was created for Champagne Glass carvings...the last picture being one of my favorites. Also the club provided a hands-on for children as they were able to create soap carvings of an Owl.

Looks like Tony made us proud in that contest! Nice work my friend! I've seen that carving up close and I must say it is a very fine piece for sure! Well earned my friend!

way to go ole buddy,and thanks for the pic you sent out i am thinking about making a frame and doing some kind of carving on it (i'll never get around to it,but still thinking about it
