| | A Friends Carving. A friend of mine that has been carving at my shop for quite a few years now just finished up this Eagle staff. We cut the blank from an old piece of walnut about a month before christmas. He brought it back over the shop many times as he was working on it. Well he finally got it done. Darn Good job if I must say so myself. Now I just need to convince him.

THANKS FOR POSTING THESE!!!!!!
Bob really did a nice job on it. So you know I saw these while he was working on it, the bid is about 4and 1/2 inch Dia. and the staff about 1and 3/4. With some really burled areas.
Tell him , I still have room for it =)

Goody, your friend has accomplished a very good carving. It is difficult to incorporate a bird, like an eagle, into the head of a staff that could actually see a lot of use. This one could actually see heavy use in the field.
I also like the inclusion of the feathers and rocks. |

Very nice! If he doesn't think so he can give it to me...well, I'll get in line 'cause I'm sure everyone that sees it would love to have it!
