does anyone know where i can get a good folding knife for carving

Yep! The OAR CARVER.....I have and like the single blade pocket knife the best. I think the width of it is less than the two blade model, and is more comfortable in your hand. And besides I have not learned to carve with two blades at the same time....It's about $65....

I have a drawer full of pocketknives and have even modified a couple for carving but the Sheffield folding utility knife has become the one I carry in my pocket at all times.

I agree with Cliff on the Sheffield. I got one similar at Walleys a fews years ago. I think I have seen them at Lowes also. I sharpen the utility blades up to where they are sharper than the factory edge. And if you want to spend more the Orr Carver looks like a good choice. Locking blade is a plus.
