I also like finding the old pics of carvers. I always enjoy going through older issues of Chip Chats.....back when they were just 1-2-3-4 or maybe even 5 pages and mimeographed.

That was interesting. Funny thing though, I made a hand carved civil war rifle kinda like the one in magazine, for my grandson, for Christmas last year.

I saved the pages about Andy Anderson as a reference. It was fun to learn that he used old razors to carve, and that he used oil paint thinned with gazoline. Try to do that today...

I also found interesting is the mentions of some inventions that were used by some companies only years later, like the shock absorber for bicycles.
