Default Flag box

I made plenty of this style of retirement flag box back when I was on active duty this one is Honduran mahogany. Do any of you know what the other thing is? I made both for a buddy of mine that retired from the USN.

Nice job on both, but I didn't know what the second was. Joe.

I enjoy making things that are not square or straight. It is more woodcarving skills than carpenter skills. Like the brass ring was hand hammered to a hoop. I made a ¾” plywood template to shape the hoop and the wheel portion I used my grinders to shape it. No band saw was used no planer or bed jointer. The only shop tool I used was my table saw to make miter cuts for the segmented pieces. I don’t have a picture of this but I attached the SEABEE to the top of a ships bell stand. My buddy and his family was very happy with this and I happy to do it for him.

Hi Don ,
Excellent design on the flag box, I knew what the second picture was because i was stationed in Rhode Island by the seabee base.
