Really nice carving Peter! Peter and Folks, It says on this carving “CAMPHOR WOOD+RESIN FINISH”. Sell wood carving of buddha - Chinese Handicrafts House - China Sorry folks my ignorance but could you guys help me understand what this stuff (resin finish) is and the process involved to get this finish? Do you think it’s possible to get this Look on basswood? Thanks a Bunch, Marty |

Hi,Mischief & Marty. Thanks for your attention! Marty, sorry, our data entry stuff made a small mistake. It should read "Camphor wood or Resin Finish". There are two kinds of materials for carving works. Resin is a natural or synthetic compound which begins in a highly viscous state and hardens with treatment. Typically, resin is soluble in alcohol, but not in water. There are a number of different classes of resin, depending on exact chemical composition and potential uses. Natural resin comes from plants. Sorry again! peter |

Well, Peter, You certainly have a wonderful talent. Such perfect proportions and flawless execution. Simply delightful to view. I especially like the woman with the child on her back. Outstanding! Exquisite! Perfect! You must have been doing this for years and years. At least it looks this way. Thanks so much for posting. Christopher |

I think I missed something as well....your site says "exporter of handcrafted items" and many technicians to carve them, so are these items from your shop, or did you carve them?
