Default Re: First visit to a carving club

Good deal, David. I visited a club for the first time last summer. I wasn't convinced right off, but after a few months of regular visits, I learned the value of seeing others' work and trading ideas. (Although most of the "trade" right now involves me listening. I'm still quite the beginner.)

I carved a sweet potato on Thanksgiving. It's dry now and I recently put a finish on it. I suppose I should pull out the camera so I can post some pics.
