Default First Dragon

Dan-Here is the dragon from Chipas book. The hardest part for me was between the wings. Have longer and bigger scoops now. Base is same as orange dragon.--Curt

Curt - very excellent carving! Love the colors. With these fantasy figures, you can let your creativity flow, as it obviously did, when you painted him. One nice thing about the difficult area between the wings - you got some additional gouges. That's always a good thing!

I like the bases that you are putting your dragons on. That a very nice solution. They go with the environment that a dragon would be found in - a rocky outcropping on a mountain or something like that.

What is that right between the eyebrows of your dragon? The picture isn't head-on so I can't tell.

Gotta get started on one of my own. Still putting my thoughts together, and Tom's book hasn't arrived yet - maybe today! You'll see one from me at some point in time in the not too distant future, although I'm not a swift carver. A lot of times I have to put something aside for awhile while solutions or ideas creep up through all the dead brain cells. Thanks for posting your dragon, Curt!

I found your dragon! I asked in the other post.. so just ignore the question.

I love this fella! And I really like the color combo's you used on him. How in the world did you do the teeth? They look so perfect! Musta have had a great Dental Plan to keep those teeth clean from soot stains *grinning, being silly with you*
