Default First Comfort Bird

Hi All:

Just finished my first 'Comfort Bird' what a pleasure to carve. It looks like our carving club is going to do a 'Comfort Bird' project. Our club visit's various adult care communities and I know these little birds will be a big hit with the residents.

We all know of someone--a friend, a stranger, a loved one who just maybe we could bring a smile by handing them one of these little carved creatures.

This one is in Butter Nut finished with Poly and Feed In Wax.

Many Thanks to Frank Foust for sharing his project and to WCI for publishing it for all of us.

It's real pretty Kathy! And what a nice thing to do for others. I think they would be good to give to kids that don't have it to easy, something they could keep in their pocket. I always felt better when I was little having some sort of little toy to take out and play with. I had a great childhood though!
