Well I just finished my first ever carving class. What an experience! Our club hosted the Bishops for their 3 day caricature class. I just hope I can retain and build on the new stuff I learned. Primarily I was interested in the female caricature and I wasn't disappointed. I finished "Calamity" and got most of the way through "Ethel". I'll try to post pics sometime in the near future. Also I'd like to thank Barry for making all the arrangements for the class and bringing 2 first rate carvers to our area. Scott |

Aren't classes fun! I am so excited for you. Don't stop with one. Keep going! Creative people feed off of each other's energy and good things happen when they get together.

It was a great weekend. The Bishop's are wonderful carvers and teachers at the same time. It's a great way to spend 3 days. We'd like to do another seminar next year with a realistic style carver. Does anyone have any suggestions on who to check on? Thanks to Phil & Vicki for all of their great teaching & encouragement to us average carvers! Barry

I have to agree on the Bishops and First class. I will be attending my second class wit them this fall also in Elk City, wanted to make the one in Great Bend Ks but was not in the draw. Besides, with 2 broke fingers, I could have carved much anyway. Glad you all had a great time. The Bishops puts you at ease for sure.

Totally agree with everyone as for the Bishops as a first class. They can't be beat. I'll have my second class with them at the end of this month. Can't wait!
