Default finished piece

well I have finally finished. I am going to enter it in a competition this weekend. we will see what the judges think.
I am pretty happy with it...
I put a couple of pics at www.picturetrail.com if anyone is interested. The user name is carvers-R-us.
My wife is glad i have finished it too...........

Nice job you really have done an excellent job on that carving. The pictures were a little blurry on the site but you can see you captured the native really well. Good luck in the competition please be sure to let us know how you made out. By the way where and when is the competition. Last question why is your wife glad you are finished are you like me, when I get carving she doesnt see much of me

the show is feb. 15 and 16th in mesa az.
its the 14th annual Desert Woodcarving Show and Sale.
its put on by Grand Canyon Woodcarvers
should be a good time regardless of whether i win a ribbon or not. colin, i had the big push on to get this piece done by the time the show started so my wife saw very little of me during the last couple of weeks. plus i am the same way, once i get started carving i can get lost in my own little world for hours and not even realize it, seems like time passes so quickly.......

Calynn, i have seen some of your work and hope to someday be that good....

Excellant job there papa.I hope someday I can show off a piece as good as that.By the way,what was the name and auther of the book you used to create your wonderful masterpiece?I,m going to pick it up,as I have a terrible time with human faces{to carve,not to look at}LOLGood luck in the competition.
