Default Finished (at last)

My problem is I always want to do "a little bit more".

I'll lie awake tonight thinking of what more to do.......

arfer1943, that is outstanding. What clean and detailed carving. I love the pose and attitude of the frog. Great piece!!!

Yep, I think we all wonder when to quit. I guess that's why some of us like to leave tool cuts showing and some don't.

Fantastic work. How did you do the cigar and ashes?
As far as what to do now.....put it on the shelf or display area....looks fine like it is.....that is unless you want more.

Thanks for the complimentary remarks!

I made a plasticene model (quite satisfying) and used it for the proportions. I used European Lime. The cigar is mahogany with a pyrographed line at the end with a brushing of white to simulate ash.

The eyes are glass, not paint.

Bow tie and buttons are separate, held on by bamboo dowel. The buttons have the dowel projecting to simulate thread.

All waxed and polished.
