Default finished the crawdad

I posted a picture of the finished crawdad...picture isn't very good, will have to take another in good light and replace it later...its on woodcarvings on my picturetrail..

Once again nice job Dave. They call them crayfish or crawfish in PA, crawdad sounds cooler.

Dont care what you call them thats a pretty good carving. In this part of the country its the best bait for big bass. I have also heard they are pretty good eating but I fail to see where you would get much meat off of one.

I ate some in scouts--the really small ones we found in streams in Northwestern PA. Throw about 50 of them in a pot of boiling water, and pull it off when they turn red. They're a little small to get any meat out of the claws, but there is a bite in the tail. Just devein it like you would a shrimp...or use them to catch a bass that is more than a little bite.
