| | Re: finished the crawdad Dont care what you call them thats a pretty good carving. In this part of the country its the best bait for big bass. I have also heard they are pretty good eating but I fail to see where you would get much meat off of one.

| | Re: finished the crawdad I ate some in scouts--the really small ones we found in streams in Northwestern PA. Throw about 50 of them in a pot of boiling water, and pull it off when they turn red. They're a little small to get any meat out of the claws, but there is a bite in the tail. Just devein it like you would a shrimp...or use them to catch a bass that is more than a little bite.
