Default Finish it Friday. Â*Daily post for Feb 27th...

I have managed to nearly finish a Mexican Santa. Â*Still need to work on an arm that attaches and also glue on the boots, then paint it, painting will wait though. Â*It will be nice to have it finished. Â*Then I think I'll be finishing up a cowboy...he needs hands and I guess it's up to me to put a gun, or perhaps a rope, or 'tack' equipment in his hands. Â*I'm going to have to design & cut the hands and other stuff out, since the people I got the roughout from only sent me the body (and that was a good 4 yrs ago). Â*He's pretty neat looking (if I do say so myself)...looks nothing like the original roughout..so he's ALL MINE Â* .
O.k...I'm jumping down from the podium...anyone else have something to share? Â*Coffee is on BTW..

It's a gray damp day in Portland, but the shop is dry and warm. Soft jazz on the radio and a roast in the slow cooker. Still working on my juniper vulture. Have a good day every one. Ron A.

The Charlotte show went well. Good weather and a decent turnout of people. There were fewer carvings and people than two years ago, but it was fun.

Haven't carved too much in a couple days. Had to travel for business and just got everything unpacked. I finished a small bust of a rabbit caricature though.

It snowed about 10' here (Western NC) yesterday, but it's about all gone today!!!! The sun came out and it's around 45 degrees right now. Tomorrow will be in the 50's and Sunday should see 60 or more.
