Many thanks for Great pictures Michael

I thought the carvings for the auction were exceptional this year, I really liked the relief of the Ward Brothers with the globe and all the miniature ducks.

The winners list is out Ward World Championship 2007

Del Herbert had another good year ( I have his book with the carving and painting DVD's for shorebirds, great set!) He took First in the Smoothie Shorebirds & Wading Birds with an Avocet, First with a Knot, First with a Phalarope and several other 2nd and 3rd place winners

Tom Matus took best in division with a Wigeon in the Gunning Pairs

I tried last year to go only on Saturday, but it just wasn't enough time. I spend all day on Saturday, and 3 or 4 hours on Sunday... add in a little social time for some friends to visit with.

Carving at this level is WAY OVER my head too. It sure is fun, and educational!!
