Ron ...

What a huge grin those are! I'm not sure if I love his shoes the best or the fact that she's barefoot! There was an old saying out of hte hills of West Virginia on how to keep a wife ... "Keep her barefoot and pregnant. That way she could run very far and she couldn't run very fast!" Which always made me wonder why she needed to run in the first place.
Great work!

Susan

Ron, My friend what wonderful carvings so much character I just love them. For those of you that dont know Ron he is a role model for myself and should be for a lot of people. Ron who has very little vision at all not only carves and does a wonderful job at it but also is an hiker also. There are those in this world that get so wrapped up in their own personal woes and those who keep it going despite there disabilities Ron is one of those people my hat is off to you sir and your positive attitude on life. Again great carvings Ron

Ron,

Excellent job on the Kentucky Family! I would have said Maryland but Susan would have hit me .!
Now why would I know he was from Kentucky? Because he is wearing a hat! In West Virginia we don't need hats, Because the still is always near a shade tree!

Ash
Love the carvings !

Ron, great carvings!

Shall I tell them? Ma and Pa Kettle were characters in a book called The Egg and I, made into a great series of movies in the 1940's and 1950's. They were egg and chicken farmers in WASHINGTON STATE!!! They had 17 (?) children before they found out what was causing them!!! And yes, he made shine!
Wade

Ron Grreat carving. Your santa blank will be on the way, still working long shifts in the distillery. Then carving like crazy to get out an order on time that I forgot about. OK Ron I gotta admit you got me thinking about a santa character with dark glasses a hiking stick and ruddy in a harness.

Ash,
Becareful next time you come to Maryland. You may have crossed a few balto-morons.

Ron,
Those are OURSTANDING! I use to watch Ma and PA kettle on the telly when I was growing up. Love the "Injuns" they had the movies with them..

Irish,
After 17 children, I'd think most women would run when they saw the old man walking through the door!
