For those of us who still know what day it is.........

Or should I say those of us who can't carve all day; it is still a big deal to reach another Friday.

I have this weekend off except, I have to buy my son (in college) a car for school. The transmission went out on the last one and it was time to retire it anyway.

Other than that I have the weekend off, except I have 24 V-tools left to sharpen, and a display to finish for the carving shows next week and the week after. :'(

So after that I will have some time to myself, except Sunday I have a carving student over all day. :-/

I can hardly wait for Monday :P

...well i'm taking 1/2 a vacation day today to take my son to the movies. (got to see hidalgo!)

..I'd like to say the rest of the weekend is mine but i'm on-call for work which can be trying. I'm going to plan on carving tomorrow afternoon and since the better half will be working on Sunday I think it would be a good day to spend in the shop!!!

Hi..
Last week-end we had good weather (+5*) and I had the opportunity to play curling in a tournament (didn't win), however to-day it is minus 8* and it is snowing, I am anxious to see the spring...but I know it is at least a month from now...well I guess I'll go carving an other loon...

Well I will carve today but I know exactly what Rick is talking about. My wife has taken the day off work she has invited her brother and his wife up this afternoon. She is off shopping will be home at noon. By the time she gets home she expects me to make the beds, vacume upstairs and down clean up my room ( I need a week for that chore) take out the garbage etc, etc, ect, oh did I forget the two loads of washing. Then tomorrow I have to look after my grandson all day he has a hockey practice and a game then he wants to go snowboarding. Sunday she will expect me to do the things around the house that have been needed doing for the past six months I am not sure how much time thats going to leave me for carving? Maybe I will set my alarm and get up at 3am and get some done before she finds something else for me to do.

Work today...carve tonight. This weekend I need to work on my tools a bit. I should get better at putting an edge on them before I put them away, but I like to spend most of my available time on using them. Rick... you need to take some time for yourself this weekend. Put your student on self study time and let the chips fly.

I'm working, I was off all week, did a ton of carving due to the bad weather, but that was a good thing because we need all the moisture we can get.

well i haven't done much carving this past week,it just seems that there isn't much time in a day.
which i find odd because when i was working i seemed to get every thing done.maybe its psycological with so must free time maybe i'm worried i'll run out of things to do :P

I spend the week thinking about how much time I will have on the weekend to carve, even though I tend to do some carving every night after work. :P Then I spend at least one day of my weekend doing 'family' things. Tomorrow I get to spend most of the day carving and I am so looking forward to it
