Default A few new peices.

Here a few new carvings that I did recently. The wolf and bear are roughouts that my brother sent me from Smokey Mtn Woodcarvers and the Bear and Squrriels is an idea I came up with what I could remember what they looked like. I mounted them on a Walnut base and added some greenery at the base of the tree. The tree is also hollowed out just to see if I could do it. It stands about 10" tall and all is basswood except for the base. It was a fun project.

I always like seeing scene projects. Adds so much to a carving. Well done. Al

Nice work, Ron! The bear and squirrel scene is very good, but that wolf is especially good!

Geez Ron! Those are wonderful! Your scene has interest appeal all around. The bear looks like he just stopped moving, and the squirrels in the tree are just the right touch.
I also like the other bear and wolf very much as well.
Great to see what you've been working on, and I hope you're doing very well.

Great job on both I must say. The bear seems to be dumbfounded by the squirrels. Joe.

They are looking good! Great thing about rough out it is a good way to learn that most things are round and not square. I learn fast on them.

Hey Ron,

I guess I've been away from the site too long as I can't recall you carving in the round. I remember many of your relief carvings. Great job on the animals.
