Congratulations on your first show. Don't be afraid next time and enter in the open catagories. You can always enter in both and who knows, you could rack up ribbons in both.

Great carvings. It would be hard to say which one I like best. I like the warbird, but the wizard really shows a lot of thought and detail.

The Warbirds about a 50/50 deal between power and hand carved. I used some power on the end grain and hand tools on the rest.

When we go out to pick up the carvings next Monday, I'll get some pictures of the Pintail, and a few of the other carvings from the show.

Like Jim, I would like to know what took first. That is a great wizzard. Perhaps the judge prefered a less heavy paint, more of a wash. Congratulations. Bob
