Default Feeling good!

I just got back from a 4 hour carving stint at the local county fair. I entered 3 of my pieces in competition for the first time, a relief wood spirit and a carved wizard in the novice class and my cherry stylized warbird in the intermediate class. Their was no stylized category in novice. Since I've only been at this for 18 months, novice was all I had the nerve for.

I got a second place ribbon for the relief and wizard carvings and a first place for the stylized warbird.

I have a friend who has been carving for years and I talked him into entering some of his carvings this year. Wouldn't you know it he got a first place in the 1/2 size waterfoul division and "Best of Show" for his pintail duck.

Congratulations, TreeWizard. Very nice carvings. And if that wizard got 2nd place, I really want to see the first place winner.
