Thor--I put four of my carvings from my Things to Sell folder on the General Carvings section of the Gallery. I just noticed that the phrase"things to sell" accompanies each picture. Is this a problem? What can I do if I need to remove the phrase? Dave

Hi Dave, The titles of your photos isn't really a problem. If you'd like them changed, just let me know what you'd like them changed to. Unfortunately, only Moderators and Administrators can change the titles. If you decide to change them, I'd suggest something descriptive such as "rifleman" etc. Best regards, Bob Duncan Technical Editor |

If the problem is with the size of the photo and a you have tried re-sizing it and it still doesn't work? Then you might want to check if you computer have Microsoft picture viewer, or a similar software that is used to open pictures. If it does, then all you have to do is re-size the picture automatically to an email or internet format. this can be done just by clicking on edit photo and in the options click on automatic re-size and select for email or web. I think that should do the trick as it does not just reduce the size of the picture, like from 200:300 to 120:200, but also its literally reduces the size of the picture in terms of file size. I hope that helps |

I have to agree with Wayne P in regard to the ACDSee program. The main reason I use it is it will let you create a database of images. For example: say you have a lot of images of "dog" carvings that you made or like. You can add information as to the carving technique, wood type, breed of dog, paints (or tools) used, etc. Then you can search on one or several of the "data fields"...it's really great to organize all pictures. In addition, you won't see picture.jpg for example - you always see (at least) a thumb nail image. Another program (which has finer database capability, along with its own image enhancing prgram is called "Thumbs Plus" (made by Cerious software). I think ACDsee is about $50.00 and ThumbsPlus is about $100. - Both are well worth it! Good luck. Glenn |
