Default I feel productive again.

Today I went and picked up 200bf of Maple for a bed I will be building and it felt great to be back where I belong. It has been awhile since I have taken on commissions.

This bed will feature carved posts and headboard and possibly finials. I'm looking forward to using my skills again. I will post pictures in the up coming months of the progress. I estimate 16 weeks total.

I will also post photos of the new location as well. I should have the painting done this week.

I stopped by my old location yesterday to do some electrical repairs ( I am still caretaker) and was sad to see how slow buisiness was for everyone there. Another store will be moving out soon due to no sales. The people who took over my spot are more gift oriented in the $25.00 and under range so they have a good shot at better sales.

That's all for now, just thought I'd share

Dale

Glad to hear you are back at it Dale! There is always something to take us away from carving! My list keeps getting longer and longer no matter how much I do? :
